Open houses collect steam. A filing collects power. Copy the letter. Put your road and county in the first paragraph. Add one photo. Ask one question about your place on top of the five we all ask.

I live in the path of the connected 345-kV work described by Liberty in southwest Missouri and by AEP / OK Transco in northeast Oklahoma.

This is not a comment card. I want written answers before any new easement is pushed on this land.

1. Publish the alternatives you studied, how you scored them, and why each rejected option lost. Include heavier use of existing corridors and tools that get more out of lines already built.
2. Say, stretch by stretch, what sits inside an existing easement and what needs new rights.
3. Publish the real strip: structure height and type, right-of-way width, temporary construction disturbance, access roads, and tree clearing.
4. Publish stream-crossing maps, water protections, how you restore the ground, and noise and electric-field readings at occupied homes.
5. Name the decision-makers, case numbers, comment deadlines, and what happens if the public files late.

Missouri: send it to Liberty’s published project contacts, then into the Public Service Commission case after you confirm the live file number. Oklahoma: send it to AEP / OK Transco and into OCC case PUD 2026-000068 for the east filing. Add the west file number when you have it.

Five things that actually work

Text the letter to five landowners on your road.
Print 20 half-sheets. Leave them at the co-op, a church foyer if they allow it, and the sale barn. Ask first.
Shoot a 20-second video of the creek, the tree line, or the porch. Caption: “This is not empty land.” #LandBeforeLines
Call your county commissioner and your state representative. Read question 5 out loud.
Go in pairs to the next open house. Do not leave without a dated map.

Say this. “SPP ordered a multi-state 345-kV build. Liberty and AEP are drawing it across Ozarks homes, farms, and water. We want the other options and written protections before easements.” Then send them to the sources page.
